ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
About Lili
Lili discovered her love of art at an early age, drawing and painting every chance she had. Throughout her elementary and middle school years, she continued to nurture this passion, earning recognition in several local and regional art competitions.
Although she focused primarily on the sciences during high school, Lili ultimately chose to follow her heart and pursue a career in the arts. She earned a Bachelor of Visual Arts and later a Master’s degree, graduating with honours from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. Her academic background has given her both a deep creative vision and a strong understanding of the technical foundations behind artistic expression.
Lili has had the opportunity to connect with artists from around the world. These experiences have allowed her to explore a wide range of styles and cultural perspectives, all of which have enriched her own artistic practice. She describes her work as striving for balance and beauty, often expressed through clean lines and meticulous details—a process she finds both relaxing and meditative.
In 2005, Lili began sharing her passion with others by offering private and group lessons. She encourages her students to discover their own creativity while developing technical skills and confidence in their personal style. Over the years, she has also exhibited her work in both group and solo shows, locally and internationally.
Today, Lili continues to create new collections, collaborate with interior designers on custom projects. She also offers beginner to advanced private lessons for youth and adults at her studio in Coquitlam, BC.

ARTIST STATEMENT
“Exceptionally calming and balanced” — that is the essence of the energy I try to capture in my paintings. It reflects the spirit of modernism while also embracing notions of nostalgia and sentimentality. In pursuit of a style and aesthetic that is not implied but assumed, I aim to embody a character of sleek elegance which evokes a streamlined look.
By reducing three dimensional objects to planar geometric forms I am able to achieve minimalist outcomes without sacrificing precise attention to the details. In my Birds of Paradise collection, I created a balance between neutral and vivid colours in surreal-style paintings. In recent years, I was drawn to the organic shapes of art nouveau and the geometric patterns of Art Deco, characterized by complementary and contrasting vibrant colours.
We shall never forget “there is always hope as long as the canvases are empty” - Gustav Klimt.
